Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information the CC Tracker mobile app ("CC Tracker", "we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using CC Tracker, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account information: your email address when you create an account, or the email associated with your Google or Apple sign-in.
  • Financial tracking data: the cards, transactions, targets, recurring charges, and category tags you add. Card names, tag names, notes, and amounts are encrypted on your device before being stored, so we do not hold them in readable form. We do not ask for or store full credit-card numbers, CVVs, or banking credentials.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage & analytics: app events, sessions, device type, and OS version, via Google Analytics for Firebase, to understand how the app is used and improve it.
  • Advertising: free accounts may see ads served by Google AdMob, which may process device and usage identifiers. On iOS we request your permission (App Tracking Transparency) before any personalized ads; if you decline, ads are non-personalized.
  • Diagnostics: basic crash and performance information.

How we use information

  • To provide and sync your account across your devices.
  • To operate, maintain, and improve the app.
  • To display ads to free users and offer an ad-free subscription.
  • To respond to support requests and detect abuse or fraud.

Service providers

We rely on trusted third parties to run the app. Your use of CC Tracker is also subject to their policies:

  • Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Analytics) - hosting your account and encrypted data.
  • Google AdMob - advertising for free accounts.
  • Apple (iOS) - Sign in with Apple, app distribution, and subscription billing via the App Store.
  • Google Play (Android) - app distribution and subscription billing via Google Play.

We never receive your payment-card details from Apple or Google.

Subscriptions

Optional subscriptions are processed by the app store you downloaded from - Apple App Store on iOS or Google Play on Android - through your store account. We do not receive or store your payment information; we only receive confirmation of your subscription status.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual cards, transactions, recurring charges, and tags in the app at any time.

Deleting your account. You can delete your account and its data yourself, from inside the app: go to Settings → Account, open the menu in the top right, and choose Delete Account. You will be asked to confirm by typing "delete". This permanently removes:

  • your cards, transactions, recurring charges, and tags;
  • your user record; and
  • your sign-in credentials, so the account can no longer be used.

Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone, so export anything you want to keep first (Reports → Export). Records of subscription purchases may be retained where we are required to keep them for billing, tax, or accounting purposes, and anonymous analytics events that are not linked to your account are not removed. Backups may take up to 30 days to cycle out.

If you can no longer sign in, or would rather we did it for you, email cctracker.support@gmail.com from the address on the account and we will process the request.

Your choices

  • Decline ad tracking via the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt, or manage ad personalization in your Android settings.
  • Manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store or Google Play settings.
  • Delete your account and its data at any time in the app, under Settings → Account, or by contacting us.
  • Request access to a copy of your data by contacting us, or export it yourself from Reports.

Children

CC Tracker is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
